November is National American Indian Heritage Month.   This is a time to reflect upon American Indian and Alaska Native ceremony, traditions, and history.

A very significant tradition for American Indians is the use of tobacco for ceremonial and traditional purposes.  Tobacco is a sacred gift that is used to offer prayer to the creator in ceremony or offered as a gift.  This is much different form commercial tobacco which is used to create addiction for the sake of corporate profit.

It is important to keep tobacco sacred and protect Native American traditions.
