Update from Pfizer: Nicotrol Discontinuation Notice.

A discontinuation letter has been sent to healthcare practitioners to inform them that as of approximately September 2023, Pfizer will no longer sell Nicotrol® inhalers. This is the result of the unavailability of an essential resin needed to produce the mouthpiece for the inhaler and not due to any complaints or safety concerns. Pfizer is not the manufacturer of the Nicotrol inhaler mouthpiece. Anticipate that supply will be depleted by August 2023. Although there is no direct generic nicotine inhaler, there are other nicotine replacement therapies available to patients.
