Daily 1-800-QUIT-NOW Call Volume Totals

With last week's announcement of the new cigarette health warning labels by the FDA, NCI has received several requests asking for daily call volume totals for 1-800-QUIT-NOW. Below, please find the call volume totals for the dates of June 14^th through June 27^th. As noted below, the FDA announcement occurred on Tuesday, June 21^st. On that date, 1-800-QUIT-NOW recorded 4,803 calls. It is anticipated that these numbers, along with state quitline and vendor specific data may be reported in the media. This information will also be forwarded to the state tobacco control program managers and vendors.
