The Canadian Cancer Society Reports on Tobacco Plain Packaging and Graphic Health Warnings on Cigare

In late 2025, the Canadian Cancer Society released an international report documenting continued global progress on tobacco plain packaging and pictorial health warnings. The report summarizes recent policy developments, ranks 212 countries and territories by the size of their health warnings on cigarette packages, and identifies 140 that now require graphic picture warnings. It also notes that countries such as Canada and Australia have begun printing health warnings directly on individual cigarettes, marking a new frontier in tobacco package regulation. Learn more.
