CDC Foundation's Newest E-Cigarette Sales Data Briefs

In addition to the latest data through 9/7/2025, the data briefs include new and expanded indicators for tracking e-cigarette sales trends in the United States: total nicotine sold (in milligrams) and dollar sales. These indicators supplement our publication of unit sales data, which has been the primary indicator published in these data briefs since the beginning of the project.

• Navigate to www.tobaccomonitoring.org.
• Choose a state from the “State E-Cigarette Sales Data” menu under the “Retail Sales Data” dropdown.
• Each state automatically shows the “BY FLAVOR” chart upon loading. New selections are now available to toggle between “Unit Sales,” “Dollar Sales” and “Nicotine Sales”.
