The report is now available, along with the national press release and state grades summary. A press releases went out in each state too. The report highlights the impact of recent federal tobacco control cutbacks, evaluates progress on state tobacco control policies over the past year, and shows that no state received all A grades, underscoring the need for stronger action. The American Lung Association is calling on the federal government to fully restore critical tobacco control programs, including CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health. Federal leadership is essential. In the current absence of federal leadership, ALA is calling on state legislatures to advance strong, fact-based tobacco control policies that protect communities and reduce tobacco use. Here is a public Canto link with a couple of social media messages and images if you would like to post about the report.
