CDC’s Media Campaign Resource Center (MCRC) is now fully operational and accepting requests for free and low-cost tobacco education campaign materials. The collection supports the tobacco control community and partners with communication efforts such as state media buys for the Tips From Former Smokers campaign. You can search by keyword or use the section links to quickly find ads that fit your campaign goals and media plan. Contract staff are available to process orders and help secure high-quality, evidence-based materials for campaigns, quitline promotion, Tips placements, and related outreach. Full access to MCRC materials requires logging in, so please use the CDC resource as needed for help with access or account login. Questions may be directed to CDC at mcrc@cdc.gov. Access and accounts The MCRC site is password-protected, and users must request an account through the homepage. Approval typically takes 1–2 days. Media vendors are welcome to apply and should note which agency they work with. For login or access help, users can contact the administrators at mcrc@cdc.gov and review the Help/Login pages and FAQs on the site. Materials and ordering Materials are available in multiple sizes and languages. Orders must be placed from currently available items; materials cannot be ordered from the archive. Users should search by keyword and use filters as needed, often based on the best available description of how items were originally submitted or tagged. Static items may be used for social media posts. Costs and timelines Exact costs depend on how the asset will be used and for how long. Cost questions should be included in the order details rather than in the “add item” step. Free items and paid assets should be submitted as separate orders. After a complete order is submitted, estimates for free items and paid ads typically arrive within 5–7 business days. Customization and support If an ad is not currently available, MCRC recommends emailing them directly to check status or alternatives. Customization options such as tagging, end cards, and voiceover do not have a formal published price list.
