NAQC Welcomes New Director and Officers to the Board

Thank you to all members who participated in the 2026 Board election. We are pleased to announce the election of one new director starting in August 1^st: Karla Sneegas.

We would like to thank Dr. David Wetter, Huntsman Presidential Professor at the University of Utah, for his outstanding service on the NAQC Board of Directors (2020-2026). Throughout his tenure, including roles as executive committee member at large, secretary, and member of the nomination committee, Dr. Wetter made significant and lasting contributions to the consortium.

His leadership, deep expertise in health equity and tobacco control, and commitment to advancing evidence-based quitline practice have shaped NAQC’s direction and impact in remarkable ways. On behalf of the NAQC Board and membership, we are deeply grateful for his dedication, collaborative spirit, and visionary work. His legacy of service and innovation will continue to benefit our mission and the broader field for years to come.

We are also excited to announce the newly elected 2026-2027 Board officers and the executive committee member-at-large. Dr. Corinne Graffunder will remain the Board Chair for the upcoming year. Joining Dr. Graffunder are:
