NAQC  is pleased to offer a new online course - From Risk to Recovery: Cardiac Rehabilitation and Tobacco Cessation. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, accounting for 1 in every 4 deaths, and smoking significantly increases that risk. People who smoke are 2 to 4 times more likely to develop heart disease and are twice as likely to have a stroke. One in five smoking‑related deaths is caused by heart disease. This course equips TTS providers with practical strategies to talk with clients about cardiac rehabilitation, an underutilized, evidence‑based service that can dramatically improve heart health outcomes.
