The tobacco industry has a long history of targeting Black communities with tobacco products, contributing to higher death rates from tobacco-related causes. To shine a light on this history and combat nicotine addiction, Truth Initiative published a piece in ESSENCE magazine and will be joining ESSENCE Fest to promote EX Program, the free digital quitting program that can increase the odds of quitting by up to 40%.
