NAQC Highlights: Programs and People is a member-focused feature that celebrates the people, partnerships, programs, and innovations advancing quitline and commercial tobacco treatment work across the United States and Canada.

Over the past year, NAQC has featured stories ranging from innovative provider referral strategies and youth advocacy efforts to culturally-grounded evaluation projects, Medicaid partnerships, tailored quitline services, and creative approaches to increasing engagement. These stories offer practical lessons, recognize the dedicated professionals behind the work, and help members learn from one another.

Do you have a program, initiative, partnership, policy change, evaluation project, or new approach that could benefit the quitline community? We invite you to share it.

Potential topics include:

  • Innovative service models or outreach strategies.
  • Successful partnerships with health systems, Medicaid agencies, community organizations, or Tribal partners.
  • Work focused on culturally responsive cessation services.
  • Program evaluation findings or quality improvement efforts.
  • Policy wins that expand access to tobacco cessation treatment.
  • Staff or leadership stories that demonstrate commitment and impact.

We also welcome nominations of colleagues whose leadership, creativity, partnership-building, or sustained commitment deserves recognition. Whether they are a quitline manager, counselor, evaluator, communications professional, healthcare partner, or community leader, their experience may inspire others across the field.

Please submit a story or nomination through the NAQC Highlights submission form. You can also explore and share prior features on the NAQC Highlights page.
